About

My approach to thinking and the purpose of this site.

Daily news rarely explains how the world works on its own. My primary interest is not the individual event, but the relationships that shape the economy, geopolitics and the behaviour of capital over longer periods.

I believe the world is best understood not as a collection of separate stories, but as an interconnected system. Macroeconomics, geopolitics and the financial system are different perspectives on the same complex whole. A single event rarely contains an answer in itself; its meaning comes from the way it connects to other processes.

The concept of value lies at the centre of my thinking.

What does value mean in a particular era? Why does a society change what it considers valuable? How do the role of money, the behaviour of capital and the nature of trust evolve when the economic and geopolitical environment changes? Without understanding these questions, daily events remain little more than a sequence of headlines.

In my analyses, I deliberately distinguish facts, conclusions and hypotheses. I consider alternative explanations essential, because good questions are often more valuable than quick answers.

My aim is not to formulate final truths. I want to build a framework for thinking that helps us understand the processes shaping the world more deeply and view them from new perspectives.

This site is a collection of that work.

The world is not made up of separate events, but of connections.
